PEOPLE

London's a happening place! If you've never been before and are planning on arriving early to check it out, try a bus tour. This way you can go back and hit the highlights later, possibly, with one of the other fifty one people you'll meet on this tour.
CITY STREETS
Our first meeting as a tour was at the Royal National, Contiki Headquarters, for introductions and luggage check. As a single traveler, I kind of felt like a kid at the first day of camp. Thoughtfully, the tour company decided to make this gathering during prime happy hours, and to keep it short. Somebody up there was thinking!
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
London Bridges, Changing guards and Big Ben. All awaited my return to the city on the tail end of my trip. In the mean time, I had more pressing maters to deal with. I had a new lifestyle of wrinkles and travel size worries, a new place to go and new things to see. A good night sleep was planned as my last- precious time abroad, sleep is last priority.
BUCKINGHAM
Bright and early, biscuit in hand, we started our for the White Cliffs of Dover. Those tour members who didn't attend the prior meeting (nothing is mandatory on this trip), started breaking the ice. By the time we reached the sea, most everyone has found someone to make a good impression upon. Regardless, we bordered the ferry like family, and set out across the channel -- the view at our backs.
DOVER CLIFFS
DOVER BREAKER
London is expensive. Save your money and buy soup on the ferry.
